Who are you?
Legionnaire. I was Ares on the old site. Before that I had many names, most of them equally embarrassing - but that's what happens when you're stuck with names you picked when you were 13. You should see my PSN name.
What do you even do here?
I'm admin staff. I put the forum together, so anything that looks like crap, doesn't work right or is ill-thought out is generally my fault; even if it's not, I'm the bloke you call to fix it.
Who do you play?
So far just Alister Rockwell, a pretty thinly-veiled Bloodborne reference.
Who is the best choice to rule New Vegas?
Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well. Ultimately the answer I believe comes down to your opinion of the Brotherhood of Steel and whether they should be eliminated or encouraged to evolve. Let's assuming a diplomatic, good Karma Courier, as violently evil ones tend to be unhealthy for the inhabitants of the Mojave. Caesar's Legion can be eliminated quite easily. Though you can't deny their brutal effectiveness in keeping order, the population of New Vegas and the Mojave would be flatly miserable. Caravans would be safe, but sooner or later Caesar himself would die and the Legion would implode, taking all of its territory (including Vegas) down in flames with it. As much as I hate to say it, Independent Vegas would probably be the third best choice unless the Courier has a very high Intellect and Luck - even then they lack the pre-war knowledge of Mr House that would allow him to turn Vegas into a thriving center of rebuilding and reinvention. From there, the best choice is either Mr House or the New California Republic. Both have their advantages: the NCR's endings, if you go diplomatic, tend to be the best and most peaceful for everyone, and the NCR gets access to the Dam that can solve many of its power and population problems back in California. On the other hand, the NCR's heady expansionism is still unchecked, and they'll continue barrelling down the same path that destroyed the Old World. Mr House, on the other hand, is an autocrat, but a genius who is arguably above personal desires after 200 years on ice. His people would live under his thumb, but they would live safe, highly profitable lives thanks to his Securitron armies. The NCR's expansion would be checked, forcing them to rely on their problems back home and hopefully boot out dickheads like Kimball and Oliver - more importantly, the presence of another, non-hostile nation would change the NCR's economy and encourage market competition and tourism over military expansion. Plus, the NCR still gets their power needs met as House immediately gets the Dam running like it used to and eventually he'll fuck off to space anyway so they would probably eventually fill the power vacuum.
So, either option has good parts and bad parts. Depending on how you play your cards, every settlement can be happy in either case. The only faction that is only happy in one case is the Brotherhood in Hidden Valley in the NCR ending, where you can get them to sign a peace treaty that allows them out of their bunker, gets them working alongside the NCR and can, god only hopes, change their perspective the way Owen Lyons helped the East Coast Brotherhood (by far the most powerful version of that faction) evolve. On the other hand, House requires you to blow the up, which turns Veronica against you, which is reason enough not to side with him. So what do you prefer: blowing up your enemies, pissing off the most adorable character in the wasteland and getting her power fist up your ass, or allowing and encouraging them to adapt to a world that's left them behind?
What's your opinion on Netflix's original content?
Their shows are pretty great but tend to get crap the longer they run (see Daredevil and House of Cards, their two flagships). Their movies are generally hot garbage. Who the fuck approved that Death Note movie?
Ah, so you're an anime fan?
Don't lump me in with those filthy Chinese cartoons, the only anime I watch is JoJo which is more than an anime.
In that case, who is the best JoJo?
Johnathan Joestar, obviously, followed shortly by Young Joseph. Josuke's alright too, even though he's constantly stealing money from people instead of getting a job. Golden Heart of Morioh my ass.
So you think Phantom Blood is the best part?
Phantom Blood is my favourite part, but I think the best part that's been adapted so far is Battle Tendency. I'm not enough of a nerd to read (the manga).
Why did you insist on this ludicrous layout?
I wanted to do something different and encourage others to spice up their player profiles instead of just following a template.
Did it work?
...No, it didn't, did it?
