Morality: Humanity 5
Clan: Nosferatu
Sect: Camarilla
Titles: Harpy
Physical Appearance:
Despite his name, Fly Eyes does not have the eyes of fly. In fact, his eyes are perhaps one of the least ugly parts of his body. Covered in ragged, pockmarked skin that grows and reabsorbs massive warts at an impossible pace, Fly Eyes none-the-less only uses Mask of a Thousand Faces to obscure this when necessary. Instead he prefers to let his bulbous, quivering head be the crown atop highly expensive and fashionable suits.
Personality:
For a man who spends so much time in the shadows, Fly Eyes is expert at shining a light on himself. As with all good Harpies, he can suck all the oxygen out of a room and knows how to hold a crowd. Like all good magicians, he knows how to distract and dazzle with one hand to draw attention from what he does with the other.
He has enough of a reputation that he doesn’t feel the need to actively try and throw his weight around in personal interactions. Fly Eyes has a wide, friendly smile of rotting teeth for all. He’s always willing to lend a friendly ear (if an ear can be found under those bumps) and a surprising number of Kindred, assuming he already knows anything they want hidden anyway, turn to him for advice. As with anything in Kindred society generally and Fly Eyes specifically, such advice comes with a cost, and one not always realized until it’s too late.

Biography:
They say Fly Eyes is as old as Oddhaven itself; that he was Embraced in the city’s founding years. Perhaps he was Embraced by one of the deep dwelling broods of Nosferatu that had already laired miles below the island’s surface and shunned contact with all but their own Clan for centuries before Oddhaven’s foundation. Or maybe he was just the first vampire to arrive in Oddhaven from Europe. No one is really sure who Fly Eyes was as a mortal or who Embraced him. Fly Eyes himself mostly dodges any questions about his origins; very occasionally offering outlandish and sarcastic accounts that wildly contradict each other. What is known is how he earned his current name as a Neonate in Oddhaven’s earliest nights.
The Forlorn Isles’ unique geographic position has always placed them on the far frontier for every Sect. To this day, the Kindred environment here is one that keeping track of is markedly more difficult for the great vampiric powers. A Young Fly Eyes was popularly given his name after becoming an indispensable source of information to the Camarilla government of Oddhaven. What his name was before few remember, but what all remember was how many times Fly Eyes’ vigilance preserved the Camarilla from being undermined and overwhelmed by the Anarchs or Sabbat.
In time, the spymaster became a puppetmaster. Just as adept as uncovering the secret activities of his Camarilla peers and betters, Fly Eyes was able blackmail his way up the social ladder. Eventually one of Oddhaven’s Princes had the notion that, if Fly Eyes was secretly monitoring everyone anyway, he might as well be made Harpy, where he could use his talents to see to the proper recording and enforcements of boons.
In modern nights, Fly Eyes has perfected his craft to the point that many wild rumors circulate about the omnipresence of his surveillance. Some even say that, whenever a Camarilla Kindred mentions the word “Boon,” Fly Eyes begins observing the conversation. Regardless of how exaggerated a notion that seems, there have certainly been instances where a Kindred thought they could skip out on a boon that was never formally recorded, only to discover that Fly Eyes had known of it all along.

Fly Eyes doesn’t directly control any money making operations, however, there are many people whom are either paying him regularly or could never refuse him a money request because of debts they owe him or secrets he knows.
Status: 4
An elder with many under his sway, the only thing holding back Fly Eyes from advancing further is that the only thing he hasn’t been able to keep secret is that he came this far through serial blackmail.
