Physical Appearance:
Even before he was turned, Hisato was considered extremely handsome by most standards. His appearance is youthful, and he constantly has the look of a well groomed 32 year old male, with a well rounded face, originally he had hazel eyes but they soon turned icey blue after he was turned and it is said they look into your very soul. If one were to look into his blue eyes they would see a collected individual with a smoldering fury hidden within that would not hesitate to kill if need be if one offended him. He has a slight stubble and very little body hair, yet his body also retains some scars from his mortal past when he received war wounds during a period where he helped ‘pacify’ native american indians after they are said to be causing trouble with the local townships. He often keeps his dark brown hair short and trimmed.
His skin has long since lost most of it's colour. Due to his age, his skin is often described as being as pale and hard as white marble; to seem "normal" to mortals, he often applies salves and oils to his skin.
Hisato favours the traditional samurai kimono, usually in red, black or greys when at home or in a known Sabbat haven although as technology and times change he has long since also chosen to favour more modern clothing to include a trench coat that he uses to hide his katana and other assorted weaponry as needed among the many pockets and hidden compartments in its folds.
Usually he is not seen without his silver laced katana, his wakizashi (shorter version of a katana), a tanto (small knife), a modern customized silver Hoyt Formula Faktor HP recurve bow with black limbs or failing his bow a spear.

Personality:
Hisato started off life carefree and adventurous, with a optimistic and positive attitude towards life that was until later in his life when his wife and child were taken ill and died. He during this time fell into a slight depression before joining the american army and travelling with them for some years...committing many atrocities against the native american indians during that time.
It was a fact that left him a bitter, jaded alcoholic for years after until he travelled to japan under a mercenary contract to help train the japanese army for war. While there he fell captive to a powerful samurai shogunate warlord, unaware of his secret...he was vampire...this warlord changed his outlook and opinions and perhaps offered him a peace he had not had in years.
While under his rule, Hisato’s whole personality changed. He no longer drunk, adopted a calm, laid back, philosophical outlook and saw in the Bushido code a path of life that deeply appealed to his senses. He became a fierce warrior, determined, focused, committed and driven by sheer will.
Traits he kept when he became a vampire, becoming one of the few to retain something akin to a human conscience but as a result his become something of a loner, preferring his own company as he dislikes others commenting on his nature. Yet as time moves on he struggles with both his human nature and that of the beast and yet so far his human side seems to have won that battle….but for how long no-one knows. All that is known is that his perhaps one of the most deadly fighters of the modern age, a fact backed up by the countless bodies in his wake and those who give him a wide berth on the streets.

Biography:
Originally Hisato Zaitoichi went by another name, one long forgotten to time. He was born as Charles Kingsley, second son to a wealthy plantation owner in 1834 AD and was treated as the favourite by both parents, a fact that often drew the aire of his sibling.
When he was 13 he saw his first glimpse of the creatures that roam the night and yet he was unaware of just what that would signify in later life or what it would mean for him. This particular creature ended his brothers life, and winked at Charles daring him to act. In response he did what any young boy would do and told his parents who simply disbelieved him, instead thinking his brother had fallen ill and died as a result.
For weeks after they grew detached and distant and this only grew as he advanced in age until he was 18 when they died. Taking over his families duties, Charles wealth grew and as it did he attracted attention. He soon caught the attention and flirtation of a similarly aged blonde haired beauty called Claudia who he became smitten with. After a year of flirting and dating, enjoying the youth and warmth each had for the other the two were soon wed and bore a child, a fact that overjoyed Charles, he soon dotted upon her...his young Marion. But life was to be unkind and three months later both she and her mother died of illness. A fact that destroyed what had been the man known as Charles, he fell into a deep depression and sought any and all means of release from his mortal coil. He was soon often seen frequenting taverns and other places of ill repute, instigating fights and duels in order that someone might kill him. In the end he squandered his vast fortune away in many such places until his plantation was taken away and he was left with only what he had on him.
It was while in such a place that a army officer, a Colonel Sam Wiltshire, while engaging in conversation, illicited a job offer. With little money and nothing to go back to Charles accepted...he was soon to regret his decision.
Charles despite his flaws had always considered himself a moral man. But despite this he was compelled and ordered to take part in many atrocities against the native american indian population, soon rising to Captain as a result of his efforts. His commanding officer kept enforcing and telling him “They were pacifying marauding bandits who had been troubling the townships.” but Charles in his heart knew there was more to it than that and something just wasn't right about it. Things came to a head in one particular atrocity when Colonel Sam Wiltshire ordered the massacre of not just men...but woman and children as well.
This drove Charles over the edge, he resigned his commission soon after and instead took up mercenary work to pay his way. And yet he could do nothing to remove the nightmares he suffered accept when he drunk. And drink he did. As a result he became bitter, jaded and distant.
This was the state he was in when approached by the one person he would happily kill for free. Colonel Sam Wilson. At first rejecting anything he had to say, the colonel finally convinced him of a genuine job offer not by him but offered by the japanese that would pay handsomely for Charles services as a veteran army officer to help advise and train a more modern military.
In need of funds, Charles agreed.
He soon headed to Japan in the year of 1866, two years before the Edo period came to an end and was confronted by a strange new land and culture at the age of 32 years old. Many of the customs such as taking shoes off when entering a home were infuriating at first, but he soon relented. Over the next few weeks he continued to help train what he soon found were no more than farmers and conscripted peasants. Early in their training, Charles was informed that the Samurai were attacking; Hatsuto, the minister with him decided to send the army there, despite the protests from him that they were not ready. The battle was a disaster; the conscripts were easily routed and most killed. However, Charles Kingsley remained defiant until the end....electing to fight to the last before he was surrounded; expecting to die, he instead was taken prisoner when the Samurai leader, a man he soon learned was called Katsumoto decided to spare him for reasons beyond him.
Little did he realize it was his spirit, defiance and sheer will that drew the pale man with ice blue eyes to him. While he was poorly treated by the Samurai at first, he eventually gained their respect when he managed to beat a veteran warrior in battle and actually he became a friend with Katsumoto over several months, no longer being treated as a prisoner and instead became a honoured guest. Charles Kingsley, overcame his alcoholism and guilt, he learnt the Japanese language and culture. For the first time in years he felt at peace with himself and no longer weighed down by all the loss he suffered and atrocities he committed. He developed a sympathy for the Samurai, who he found had grown angry that the spread of modern technology had begun eroding traditional feudalism and the status and power of the Samurai.
Yet Charles, now a samurai himself was offered one final gift before the clan and Katsumoto planned on a final confrontation. He was offered the Dark Gift of vampirism so as to join the ranks of his officers. At first hesitant, Charles was given a week to consider the offer after which time he would either accept or there would be no choice but his death. The risk was too great that he know the truth. In the end he chose immortality, for the pale appearance and skill of his mentor appealed greatly.
Once he was turned Charles became no more. He was given a new name, a new identity. Hisato Zaitoichi was born. Katsumoto did his best to teach Hisato, the traditions and ways of the vampire and all about the masquarade in what time they had and why it was so important mortals not learn of the existence of vampires. These lessons were to be his last as during the following battle a month after his maker was killed, by someone who knew what he was. A hunter it seemed.
Hisato spent the following years trying to find every trace and track of the killer to no avail. Centuries eventually went by and as time passed and technology changed Hisato adapted becoming masterless samurai. A ronin.
He travelled the world, never staying in one place too long. Soon whispers came of others like himself, the undead...indeed he met one or two on his travels over the years. Some turned out to be friend and others foe, his foes soon learnt he was not to be trifled with.
Hisato soon became something of a ghost story, a urban legend told to frighten young vampires or mortals alike. Little did they know the story of Hisato Zaitoichi was all too real. Several more years passed before Hisato finally found a new clan with whom he could relate once more, the Sabbat. Soon accepted he proved himself several times over before he received a new assignment, one he did not expect. In 1993 Hisato Zaitoichi became Pack Priest of a small pack in Oddhaven, after doing several jobs for the new Ductus, Luz Elicia Apaganza Bastilo or as he soon came to call her simply ‘Luz’. Hisato soon proved a loyal ally and has been continually working to grow Sabbat influence in the Isles up until today at her side whether that be through violence or other means. All so long as it does not conflict with his Bushido beliefs.

Acceptance Ritus: This ritus welcomes a new member to a particular pack, to recognize the ascension of a recruit, or any time a change in power or membership occurs (such as a new Ductus or Pack Priest). Each member of the pack must recognize the new position of their fellow Sabbat in a personal manner, be it by sharing blood, the giving of a gift, or whatever. The Sabbat being accepted must make an oath of allegiance to each member of the pack, and to the Sabbat cause in general. The Acceptance Ritus differs from the Creation Rites because it is more social than supernatural. A Sabbat may have received his Creation Rites, but may be snubbed by a pack that refuses to extend him the ritus of acceptance.
Contrition Ritus: Even Sabbat commit sins and indiscretions, for which they sometimes need to atone. The Contrition Ritus allows for this, much in the same manner a Catholic confession works. This ritus is perhaps the most important of the ignoblis ritae, as many Inquisitors, Black Hand operatives, Pack Priests, and Ducti offer a choice of contrition or death to Sabbat who have committed wrongs upon the Sect. All sensible Sabbat take these ritae as seriously as they would any other, for only by the grace of their betters can they continue to exist. Of course, many disingenuous Sabbat may make an insincere act of contrition, but they might not be extended the option next time.
