Welcome to Oddhaven by Night! We are a roleplaying forum running an ongoing game of the classic tabletop roleplaying game, Vampire: the Masquerade. Oddhaven seeks to combine the creative freedom and personal connections of a tabletop RPG with the community experience of a MMO or MUD. Oddhaven uses the 20th Anniversary Edition of Vampire (abbreviated as V20). PDF rulebooks for the game can be purchased on DriveThruRPG.com, and are linked below. The only book a player will absolutely need in order to participate is the corebook. Beyond that any official release for V20 can be used, but several supplement books are more likely to see use on Oddhaven than others, these too are listed below.
V20 Corebook
V20 Companion
Lore of the Clans
Lore of the Bloodlines
Anarchs Unbound
The Black Hand: A Guide to the Tal'Mahe'Ra
Rites of the Blood
Ghouls and Revenants
Oddhaven's administrative staff is divided into two groups: the Technical Staff and Story Staff. Tech Staff covers issues technological, Story Staff is in charge of the site metaplot, in-character matters and character systems aspects; both groups coordinate to make administrative and executive decisions. Here is a list of the Staff's OOC accounts, divided up by Tech and Story, along with a list of which Story Staffer oversees which factions (Autarkis characters are overseen by the entire Story Staff).
Tech Staff: Legionnaire
Story Staff: Strigus (Anarchs, loyalist Assamites), Xaos (Camarilla, Sabbat, Tal'Mahe'Ra, inter-Sect Nosferatu), Narg (Independent Alliance, Unaligned/Autarkis)
There are also a number of threads which contain information that will be very useful to you as a new member.
The House Rules document adds a number of player options taken from other versions and editions of Masquerade, clarifies important aspects about playing on Oddhaven by Night and alters a few elements of the core rule set.
The Character Sheet Template is a blank form to fill out when posting a character for official approval. Sadly, we cannot accept PDF character sheets.
The Oddhaven City Guide contains a detailed description of this game's setting, Oddhaven, and provides rules for making a Haven or hunting in its various districts.
Timeline of the False Gehenna covers what elements of Vampire: the Masquerade's metaplot are also present in Oddhaven by Night's metaplot.
History of the Forlorn Isles describes the fictional nation in which Oddhaven is located.
