Physical Appearance:
Selin Marie is a six foot tall woman with, light olive colored skin, rather boyish facial features, and a flat chest. She appears to be in her thirties. She has mousey brown hair tied back in a ponytail, understanding brown eyes peering out from behind rimless spectacles, and large calloused hands. On one cheek, running down her neck and below her shirt, there is a large, red, and swollen series of scars where she was mauled by a Large Feline.
She wears a large, dark brown windbreaker over warm fully buttoned flannel, and long cargo pants in the winter. In the warmer seasons she dresses similarly to Jane Goodall. She’s never seen without binoculars and a camera around her neck, as well as a large hiking backpack filled with all sorts of supplies.

She’s never seen without binoculars and a camera around her neck, as well as a large hiking backpack filled with all sorts of supplies.
Selin Marie feels most like herself out in the wild, where she can be with her pack of wolves. She’s never felt particularly accepted by society and makes her way through nocturnal wildlife photography; a niche in the business that many cannot fill, for lack of skill and need of sleep. Selin Marie is burdened by neither and spends her immortal existence studying nocturnal wildlife, and recording the way they live. This is made easy by their natural attraction to her. Selin Marie is like Snow White, but without the pretty dress, singing voice, dwarves, or looks to back it up. Animals flock to her even without the powers of animalism.
She is not obsessed with questions of reality and truth like the rest of her Clan, and does not adhere to the path of Paradox. She finds the ability to be ‘as is’ exemplified in animals. They are divorced from troubles and anxiety, and live in the moment, exemplifying the Dharma better than any human or undead could. She is not particularly fixated on her Svadharma, but figures that it must have something to do with studying and attuning herself to the nature and psyche of animals, as she is so naturally drawn to do.
She would spend her whole life in the wild were it not for her vice, which demands her be around humans. Selin Marie is voyeuristic in a way that unsettles even her. She has the uncanny need to watch people have sex without their knowledge of her presence. Porn does nothing for her, as the participants know that they are being viewed, and Selin Marie has no taste for exhibitionists. Often she will watch unknowing couples through the eyes of an animal, but nothing gives the same rush as being right outside the window, in person.

Biography:
Selin Marie Gouldholm was born in 1880 to Alex Gouldholm and Yva Gouldholm, in London. Her childhood up until age twelve, was rather uneventful. Her father was an associate professor of Biology at Oxford. He educated his daughter in the ways of empiricist scientific thought. She was a critical thinker of sharp wit even from a young age, but displayed a tendency to enjoy typically masculine things. At the age of twelve she realized that she had sexual desires for both men and women after making out with one of her friends. She told her father, trusting that he would understand her personal experience and experimentation as necessary to finding the truth about herself. On the contrary her father was quite furious, forbidding her from seeing her friends, certainly not the one she had affections for.
She counted her father a hypocrite, and after years of living under his thumb, in and out of boarding school (having multiple relationships with young women also enrolled), ran away from boarding school at age sixteen. She fended for herself in the British countryside, with the frame of a man she masqueraded as such, taking odd jobs under the name of Samuel Mark Goodman. By happenstance at age nineteen she managed to save the elven year old son of a wealthy, vacationing Londoner from drowning in a creek. After vacationing the rest of the week with them, she was hired on as a personal servant who looked after the safety of the young boy.
After working in their service, and keeping up an elaborate ruse for five years, the family decided vacation in South Africa for an extended period of time. Her employer was an avid large game hunter and would take her and his son out on hunting expeditions often over the course of two years. It was there that she learned to shoot and survive for long periods in the wilderness relatively alone. It was on one of these expeditions that she was finally discovered as a woman by the now seventeen year old boy. He demanded sexual advantage over her in exchange for silence, and when she refused they abandoned her in Johannesburg.
She worked as an expedition guide in the African wilderness for four more years, until 1910 under a male name, studying taxonomy. It was the only way she could support herself, even though she felt averse to the arbitrary killing of so many majestic beasts. One night during a hunt for a wandering herd of elephants, the hunting party was attacked by a whole pride of lions. They attacked ruthlessly, and systematically, seemingly directed by a man who felt no pain from bullets. A lion clawed her face ruthlessly, but she somehow managed to calm the beasts circling her. Even when directed to kill her, the lions refused and eventually dispersed.
Intrigued by the her natural connection to animals the man introduced himself as Sahndim, a traveler who found purpose in protecting and guiding large beasts of prey. He had been protecting these elephants from hunters for over six months, but needed to move on soon. Samuel and Sahndim protected the herd of elephants together for over a month, living with and alongside them, Samuel taking watch in the day and Sahndim taking watch in the night. Selin noticed that something was off about her new friend, but found so much joy in defending and studying the peaceful wildlife that she paid it no mind, and spent her days joyously following her new passion as a defender of, and participant alongside, nature rather than an exploiter.
After her scars had healed, and their travels together had almost come to a close, She woke one night to find herself changed. Sahndim was a Ravnos vampire who felt that Samuel’s Svadharma was that of defending nature, and working alongside him to do so. It was then that Selin Marie revealed herself as a woman to Sahndim. As a follower of the Path of Paradox this was a grave sin on his part. He had taken away a life giving aspect of the world.
The transition was hard for Selin, and while her fortitude and connection to animals grew every day, her longing for the sun and human connection made unlife hard. Her embrace also stirred a long hidden need for sexual stimulus and voyeuristic behavior, which made life in the African savanna incredibly difficult. Eventually, after a fight stemming from Selin’s lie about her sex, and Sahndim’s choice to turn her into a vampire, the two parted ways to find their own destinies.
Selin traveled all across Africa the following years, gaining power, changing with the times, and defending nature against exploitation wherever she could. After forty years as an activist, Selin finally found her excuse for travel, and her niche in the world. Nocturnal wildlife photography was something that not many had the patience or skill to do well, so Selin Marie took it upon herself to learn and specialize in the skill. Her published works gave her travel mobility and money for night classes at various universities across the world. While she holds no degrees, she is an expert in animal biology and wildlife photojournalism.
In 1963 she made her way to Oddhaven, studying the non-indigenous wolf packs that roamed the islands at night, studying their integration into such a small ecosystem. It was here that she found her pack. The wolves there immediately and intimately connected with her soul. She had never roamed with a pack of wolves before, being in Africa most of her unlife. The experience made her feel whole. Since then she has roamed the wilderness in the Isles with her canine friends, mostly around Oddhaven, in her sunproofed trailer pulled by her old Ford. She has spent some time auditing night classes at Plantagenet University, but mostly continues publishing her photography under different names and in various publications.
Selin Marie is the Ravnos Consul of Oddhaven, mostly because she has been there the longest of any Ravnos passing through. Being assigned as a Ravnos Consul is often damning, meaning months in a single place at any given time. Even the most wizened Brahmin must wander, and gets restless under the shackles of a bureaucratic political position. Luckily for the Ravnos of Oddhaven, Selin knows the political climate, doesn’t plan on going anywhere soon, and doesn’t mind working out any issues that might arise. Any Ravnos entering the Forlorn Isles, specifically near Oddhaven, are advised to go find Selin Marie so that they can learn what to look out for in any given month before they inevitably get themselves shunted out of town.
"Enlightenment? I don't put much thought to that. If you spend so much time musing on illusions, you'll miss the wonders of the natural world right before your eyes. Who cares if it's real? We can see it just fine." -- Selin Marie Gouldholm

Krishna: A large white female wolf with grey markings on her face and paws, with deep brown eyes. (uses the stat block for Large Dog). She is Selin Marie’s most loyal friend and companion, as well as mother of the pack. Selin often uses Shared Strength on Krishna giving her 4 dots of fortitude to use. She is ghouled and has been with Selin since 1963. She has one dot of potence.
Retainers: 4
Loki: A wiry black wolf with white markings on its underbelly and ice blue eyes. (uses the stat block for Large Dog). Loki is Krishna’s mate as well as the father of Slephnir and Venus, two other ghouled wolves that Selin has. Has one dot of Celerity instead of potence. Selin often uses Shared Strength on Loki, giving him 3 dots of fortitude at any given time. He is ghouled and has been with Selin since 1967.
Retainers: 3
Slephnir: A white younger wolf with all grey markings on his back, with ice blue eyes. (actually uses the wolf stat block). Selphnir is an excitable, ghouled wolf that has been with Selin since 1972. Has one dot in celerity rather than potence.
Retainers: 3
Venus: A Grey, ghouled, wolf with white paws who always sits back watching a situation with dark brown eyes. (uses the wolf stat block). Venus likes to nip at Slephnir’s heels and is always the one to start a fight first. She has been with Selin since 1972, and was born in the same litter as Slephnir to Krishna. She has one dot of potence.
Retainers: 2
Narg: An owl native to the Forlorn Isles. It has a white body with long, pointy, yellow ear plumage like that of a horned owl. It can perk the feathers up to increase its hearing ability, folding it against its head while it flies silently through the night. It is an oddly vocal bird, and has harassed and annoyed her since the moment she showed up in Oddhaven. (uses the stat block for large bird). Narg primarily helps Selin with satisfying her vice through subsume the spirit, and doing surveillance around the forest. If a Lycan is nearby, Narg is the first to know and warn Selin. Narg, in addition to the usual stat block has two levels in awareness.
Fame: 1
Selin Marie is known for her work as a wildlife photojournalist under her own name and many different monikers, and the people around the outskirts of Oddhaven’s wilderness know her as “That one crazy lady in the trailer out there in the woods.”
Herd: 1
Selin has a few select fans and polyamorous lovers from her activity on her wildlife forum and from her time at Plantagenet University. These men and women are invaluable for company, sex, and nourishment, as well as for spying on when plagued by her vice.
Resources: 1
Her Photography and book revenue give her a meager enough some of money for her escapades out in the woods. Most of the money goes to keeping her arsenal up to date. Staying in place makes you a target for the Lycans.
Armory: 4
Lycans fuckin hurt. Selin Marie is prepared. Her trailer is decked out with all sorts of silvered weaponry, and incendiary munitions.
Mentor: 2/Contacts: 1
Selin Marie was mentored by a respected and reclusive Gangrel after taking up residence in the Oddhaven wilderness. He was surprised by her groundedness in comparison to the rest of her Clan. He respected her pragmatism and her disdain for the Ravnos vs. Gangrel feud. He taught her how to make use of Protean powers, and will oftentimes come to her aid when she deals with particularly feisty lycans.
