So I think we've got anywhere from 25%-40% of the way toward "Frederica knows about the existence of vampires" in the library visit thread. She's been given clues that she's going to eventually put together into a conclusion that HOLY FUCK VAMPIRES ARE REAL.
However, I think there's still some work to do. Things that have to happen still are the meeting / interview with Mr. LeChevalier, which could provide some more clues for her to push further into someone else. Frederica might also push into "Warthog" and Abi as people that talked with LeChevalier, who at time of writing Frederica suspects to be a mob boss.
This is a thread where I want to talk about and brainstorm ideas for scenes that would help tear the masquerade slightly to a person who is highly skilled in investigation and spotting subtle things. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have a question: is Fredi going to have broken through the Masquerade by the time the main story starts? Or did you want to save that final realization for the post-cataclysmic riots stuff?
Either way, Fredi's pretty cute. I'm sure Siobhán would flirt if they ever crossed paths, and she's probably got the weirdest accent Fredi's heard...

Fair enough. I guess we'll just have to see how far she gets before the game starts!
Of note, then, I'd like a story mod to be able to do a scene where Fredi calls in a favor from her contact in the police, Liam Abbey. Thanks!!!

Sure, I can do that. Start up a thread, and I'll respond as Liam.

Alister's going to be embraced sometime soonish (maybe at the end of his Prelude, I'm not sure) which would make him the youngest Vampire on the Isles - and give him the highest chance for screwing up and revealing things to somebody nosy. He's also not a particularly subtle man. How's that sound? There's a 'You broke the Masquerade and another Vampire had to fix your mess' flaw that I'd be down for taking. How's that sound? Frederica could have had a run in with him when he was mortal and then encounter him after the fact and start putting things together.

It also could be believable that Fredi could run into a missing persons flyer for Abi. She has tried to take them all down but possible one might be floating around somewhere on the isle. It has only been a year and 2ish months since she disappeared.
The fact Abigail is about 17/18 looking is probably also an odd thing. If Fredi investigates that way at some point she would also here about a cult and all that stuff in the Swan Grove section of the city.

Rest assured, Fredi is going to be going over the FIPD's file and Alex LeChevalier on Abi once she sits down with Liam.

I realize that this bus is getting a bit crowded, but I'd be very amused by a scene in which Fredi is asking Melisse probing questions and Melisse assumes Fredi is sniffing around because of her human trafficking operations but, half-way through the conversation, Melisse realizes she's been trying to conceal something Fredi isn't even looking for. Presumably Fredi's police friends might have some info on Melisse in their "they're definitely up to something shady but they're too rich and well-connected to ever arrest," filing cabinet. Describing this, I just can't stop thinking of this scene.

Xaos, at least none of my characters would ever talk to Fredi, unless they wanted a midnight snack. It would be a rather short discussion.

Damage is Soakable Lemon, a grapple is not. And that's if you see her. Take a look at Luz's character sheet, just put it up.
