Character Name: Gavin Dunsirn
Character Type: NPC
Supernatural Type: Revenant
Concept: High-powered banker with queer culinary tastes
Nature: Architect
Demeanor: Capitalist
Morality: Humanity 4
Clan: Dunsirn branch of the Giovanni
Sect: Independent Alliance
Titles: Giovanni Capo overseeing Oddhaven
Physical Appearance: Small of stature and slight of build, Gavin possesses fine aristocratic features, neatly cut brown hair, a pale complexion, and dull green eyes, with a speck of yellow in his left iris. He dresses exclusively in bespoke suits of many myriad colours and fabrics.
Personality: For a non-Kindred, Gavin is disturbingly detached and calculating. The same mindset that makes him so adept at monetary matters leads him to treat beings - mortals and Kindred alike - the same way. Though he is courteous and polite, an air of menance hangs about the man like a dark shadow, and his conversations are full of veiled threats and polite-but-firm 'suggestions'. He spends money lavishly, and has lavish tastes - since his early days as a Swiss Banker, he has hosted lavish galas and receptions for both mortal and Kindred (occasionally both at once). He is ruthless and determined, yet for all his political and financial willpower he has no stomach for dirty work and relies on his bodyguards, and the various Giovanni he commands, to serve as his physical muscle.
His great vice is his taste for human flesh, the same as many Dunsirn. Unlike his more barbaric ancestors, Gavin treats it as an exquisite meal reserved for only the most accomplished of individuals - himself and, to his amusement, to the occasional unknowing guest. Even some close calls with his consuption have done little to rattle him - Gavin is, at all times, firmly in command, and firm in making sure that his underlings do what he tells them, when he tells them.
Biography:
For most individuals in the Giovanni, being sent to the remote and aptly-named Forlorn Isles could be considered a punishment - certainly this was the intention when Gavin was booted out of Switzerland. Even as a Revenant, Gavin had never been a strong or tough man, and the Necromantic arts on which the Giovanni had built their supernatural empire never truly resonated with him. Where Gavin showed his brilliance was in the sheer brilliance for numbers and money that had once caused so much trouble for the historical Giovanni - recognising his talents, Gavin was trained extensively in finances, economics, and accounting, and he took his place in the upper class earning unreasonable amounts of money for the Giovanni last.
Gavin had always chafed at the perceived inequality of the Dunsirn's relationship with the 'legitimate' Giovanni bloodline, and eventually the annoyance his protests and objections outweighed the capital he afforded the Clan. When a party in his residence in the Swiss Alps came dangerously close to revealing his taste for the long pork, the Giovanni at last seized the chance to send him where he wouldn't cause any trouble - Oddhaven. Making him the Capo was a calculated move, believing that the many duties of both Capo and Executive Banker would occupy and placate him sufficiently to drain him of his complaints. Moreover, the Giovanni of Oddhaven had traditionally suffered of an over-inflated sense of self-importance - the ignobility of suffering a ghoul Capo was intended as a poignant signal that no matter how remote the location, the family is all that matters.
To some extent this was true, and since setting up in Oddhaven in the mid-2000s Gavin has fulfilled his roles beautifully. As Capo of the Oddhaven Giovanni, Gavin has proven ruthless and devoted to furthering the family's interests, and as one of the chief executives for the First Bank of the Forlorn Isles he has made both the Giovanni and himself extraordinary wealth and influence. But in the Forlorn Isles, Gavin saw the seeds of a new kingdom, one where the Dunsirns take their rightful place lording over the rest Giovanni - after all, the Giovanni beat out the Dunsirns through petty trickery and exploits, not through legitimate business moves.

Gavin's palatial estate is located deep within the heart of Mayor's Hill, a two-winged old world-style mansion with a vast pavillion for hosting outdoor events and heavy, heavy security.
Wraith Specs:
Gregor (rank 3):
Though he died long ago, killed in an honour duel against a man who violated his sister, Gregor's hate lingers. He bleeds endlessly from a wound in his chest, and circles Gavin constantly as his ethereal guardian.

Tye and Jame (both rank 1):
Two brothers who served as scouts for the World War II Scottish army clan in life, now serving Gavin in death. They possess identical stats and mainly patrol his mansion for interlopers. To those who can perceive the Wraith twins, Tye, the shorter brother, appears to permanently drip foamy blood from his mouth, while Jame's left hand hangs by a single tattered tendon. Both men wear World War II era army uniforms.
Specializations:
Attribute: Perception
High Influence: 2
Money talks. Gavin's financial advice is not lightly ignored - in fact, it is Gavin who is largely responsible for the current austerity measures crippling Oddhaven's lower classes and enriching its upper echelons. So long as he frames it in terms of money, people listen. His areas of High Influence are the Oddhaven Mayor's Office, and the Oddhaven banking sector.
Low Influence: 1
Of course, money talks in lower-brow societies to, and Gavin has a very diverse portfolio of money channels. He holds very considerable sway over the money laundering operations of Oddhaven's underworld.
Resources: 5
Were his salary as a bank executive to be removed overnight, Gavin would hardly notice. His own investments in various legal and illegal markets all around the world make him all the money he needs. What is perhaps even more impressive is that this is a bare fraction of the money he makes for the Giovanni.
Status: 3
Despite the low opinions held by some of the more old-style Giovanni, Gavin's position as a Capo affords him a fairly high position in Kindred society. But even considering how that authority extends over the fledgling Independent Alliance, his overall status is at best compared to an upjumped Primogen - a fact that infuriates him to no end. No matter what Gavin's skills are, a Revenant is still a Revenant, and will never curry the same respect as a Kindred does.
